It is regret to say, but yes SSD has limited writes can preform in it's life time if it is use NAND Flash to store data.
SSDs built using NAND Flash uses the electrical charge to store data and use the high electrical charge to write and erase data. This process damages the insulator in inside flash memory which then becomes leaky, After enough writes the insulator is no longer able to store sufficient charge that's mean that cell finally not able to store a data.
